With a combined seven years of tutelage and forging relationships under two of the most influential designers in the industry – Thom Browne & Michael Bastion – New York based Marlon Gobel has finally ascended the mainstream. With his junior collection due out spring summer 2011 luxury footwear designer Christian Louboutin made true on the rumors by designing an exclusive collection for Gobel’s fall/winter 2011 menswear presentation during New York fashion week this past Thursday. Complementing Gobel’s line were a range of Louboutin’s motifs from a hybrid gold coloured spiked slippers and the calmer nude suede slippers with bauble details on the front. Here’s a preview look at the presentation. Now that Louboutin is making men's shoes the powder blue with gold balls will suit me fine. I'm sure they will cost 3 months rent?
