I know what  you thinking? So get your mind out the gutter whenever I say I collect adult toys people always think I mean some kind a sexual toy. So far from the truth the toys I,m talking about are not sold in sex shops and the only pleasure you get is from looking at them. There made from plastic, vinyl, paper and sometimes wood. So here's a small look at my collection.

Mr. Brainwash ("MBW")

As I watched the film Exit Through The Gift Shop, directed by Banksy for like the fifth time I asked myself who"s Mr. Brainwash (Thierry Guetta) and is he really an artiest or a front man for Bansky and  Shepard FaireyGuetta is a French citizen who lives in Los Angeles, a proprietor of a clothing store and videographer who evolved into a street artist and gallery artist, influenced by the street artists he video over the years. Guetta was first introduced to street art by his cousin, the French street artist, Invader. The film includes authentic documentation of Space Invader Space Invader, Shepard Fairey, Banksy and other well-known street artists. MBW's work emulates the styles and artistic concepts of Banksy and Fairey. Unlike Banksy, who is shown in the film creating his own work, Guetta states in the film that his work largely consists of "scanning and photoshopping", acts which are carried out by hired assistants. Guetta admits in Exit Through The Gift Shop that most of the actual artistic process is carried out by hired graphic designers to whom he describes his ideas. In the film, he is not shown creating very much artwork himself. Life is Beautiful his debut art show in Los Angeles, was featured in LA Weekly. According to the film the article marked a pivotal point in MBW's career, it was this exhibition and article that brought Mr Brainwash to the notice of the art world, and over 7,000 people attended the show on its opening night. MBW'S pieces have sold at auction for as much as $120.000 USD. MBW created the cover art for Madonna's Celebration album and in 2010, his second showICONS opened in New York City.

Pieter Cornelis "Piet" Mondriaan

Pieter Cornelis known as Piet Mondriaan. Mondriaan was born in 1872 in the Netherlands. He was an important contributor to the De Stijl art movement and group. He evolved a non-representational form which he termed Neo-Plasticism. This consisted of white ground, upon which was painted a grid of vertical and horizontal black lines and the three primary colors. In 1911, Mondrian moved to Paris and This matched the changed signature on his works while in Paris, the influence of the Cubism style of Picasso and Braque appeared almost immediately in Mondrian's work. While Mondrian was eager to absorb the Cubist influence into his work, however, it seems clear that he saw Cubism as 'port of call' on his artistic journey, rather than as a destination. In 1938, Mondrian left Paris in the face of advancing fascism and moved to London. After the Netherlands were invaded and Paris fell in 1940, he left London for New York, where he would remain until his death. Some of Mondrian's later works are difficult to place in terms of his artistic development, because there were quite a few canvases that he began in Paris or London which he only completed months or years later in Manhattan. The finished works from this later period demonstrate an unprecedented business, however, with more lines than any of his work since the 1920s, placed in an overlapping arrangement that is almost cartographical in appearance. He spent many long hours painting on his own until his hands blistered and he sometimes cried or made himself sick. Piet Mondrian died of pneumonia in 1944 and was interred in the Cypress Hill Cemetery in Brooklyn, New York. Mondrian's works hang in The MOMA,Philadelphia Museum of Art & The Guggenheim.

Sign of the Times

On of my favorite reads is the New York Times(www.nytimes.com). When news papers sales are at an all time low there's nothing like cracking open a news paper and reading print on paper and not flipping open a lap top and reading on line. There's nothing like licking your finger tips to turn the pages. The Sunday Times is like opening a surprise present on your birthday it's filled with all the surprises one would expect from world news, sports, fashion, money and the world famous cross word puzzle. With the east coast being hit with this crazy weather. It's worth the trek in the snow to grab a copy of the Times and your favorite beverage kick back and enjoy a good old fashion read.

Dinner is served!

This past Sunday I tried my hand at cooking Sea Bass with Yellow rice and Shrimp.

Seasoned Sea Bass.

 Clean Shrimp.

Cooked Sea Bass.
Finished product. And for Dessert Tate's cookies and Wine.

Now that's a meal Yum Yum
